Social Science and Legal Policy: The Case of Heterosexual Cohabitation

Bowman's research examines the social science literature about heterosexual cohabitation and concludes that unmarried couples together for two years or with a common child should be given the legal rights and obligations attached to marriage.

Fatherhood & Incarceration Workshop

This workshop will focus on issues of child support requirements, parenting programs, race/ethnic differences, social capital, juvenile fathers and the meanings of incarceration for fatherhood and citizenship.

Evolving Family End-of-Project Lecture

Join us for this lecture that caps the three-year ISS Evolving Family Theme Project. Liz Peters will describe the accomplishments of the theme project thus far. Team members will be on hand to discuss future research activities and will be available for Q & A. Refreshments will follow the lecture.
