ISS Faculty Fellow/Evolving Family Team 2004-7

Stefan Klonner is an Assistant Professor in the Economics Department. His research is primarily on the microeconomics of developing countries. He has studied savings and credit groups in South India as well as intra-household allocations in Indonesia and child investment in polygynous households in West Africa. In 2001 and 2002, he was involved in the collection of several data sets in Tamil Nadu, India. His work has appeared in the International Economic Review, Economics Letters, and Agricultural Economics. Before joining Cornell, he earned a Ph.D. from the Interdisciplinary Institute for South Asian Studies in Heidelberg, Germany, and conducted postdoctoral studies at the Economic Growth Center at Yale University.
